The Lacy breed was developed in the Central Texas Hill Country during the late ninteenth century to be the ultimate ranching dog. They are intuitive and gritty, built for agility, speed and endurance. Lacys are driven working dogs that excel at hunting, herding and tracking. Powerful yet compact, the Lacy should be 18 to 21 inches tall and weigh between 30 and 50 pounds. In addition to the famous Blue Lacys, the breed also comes in Red and Tri varieties.
